PHILOSOPHY - At Holy Family School we believe in educating the whole person, with emphasis on the graceful growth of positive self-image along with careful development of learning. The spirit of the Gospels and a respect for truth and morality are values we cultivate in our students as they prepare to be responsible, confident citizens of the world. Administration, faculty and staff share this responsibility of nurtured growth with parents, who are viewed as the primary teachers of their children.

In an atmosphere which strongly emphasizes Christian ideals, students at Holy Family are provided with a challenging academic program which seeks to develop their intellectual abilities, to raise their social consciousness, and to nurture their physical and moral growth. Students are encouraged to strive for academic excellence as well as to aspire to the highest standards of Christian conduct. The development of leadership is also promoted at HFS, along with the fostering of a deep faith commitment and an appreciation of human dignity.

The administration and faculty of Holy Family constantly endeavor to develop curricula, teaching skills and evaluation techniques which embrace the latest in technology and are sensitive to current educational ideology as well as the needs of individual children.

ABOUT US - Established in 1889, Holy Family School welcomes students from LeRoy and surrounding areas, including Avon, Brockport, Caledonia, Mumford, York, Churchville, Scottsville, Bergen, Pavilion, Bethany, and Batavia. Bus transportation is available to all students who reside within a 15 mile radius of Holy Family. Holy Family serves students in grades K-8, offering both remediation and enrichment as well as advanced classes in math and science at the middle school level.
